Akai APC 40 MK2 not recognized on win7 machine

Post by warpnote »

Hi Guys, while my mbp is in for repairs, I'm running a Dell Precision mobile workstation M6500 as a backup.
An older rig, but still capable for its age. However, I'm having trouble getting my apc40mk2 it to work. I connects just fine on my mbp and my iMac, but not go on the Win machine. Any quick tips really appreciated, have a gig tonite, seems Ill have to run everything with the mouse = no fun...

Thanks, Audun Notevarp,
Resolume Arena 5.0.4 win7, 64 bit

Are you using the USB cable to power the MK2?

Sorry about the late reply Oaktown, turns out a few restarts of the machine was all that was needed.
And yes I was using the USB to power it, still do. Do you recommend using mains power for it?

It's possible your M6500 didn't have a stable 5V power supply on that USB port and the MK2 was not able to power on because of that.

I find that it's always preferable to power with the AC adapter rather than USB power from your computer especially when you're connecting devices to the computer that's running Resolume.
