5.1 crash on loading

Hi,

before all, excuse my english, don't have time to use google traduct or a "good speak english friend" help..

My problem is simple, i made the update for Resolume Arena 5.1, try it with two different setup, including my win7 pro setup exclusive for live with only Resolume, and the soft crash on startup..!
I try, as i note it in this forum, to delete all file in the preferences folder or just the simple.xml file but it doesn't work... always crash on startup...

Do you have a explain, am i the only man on earth with this problem? My day was so boring, perharps it's simply normal for me today and things will change tomorrow..

Just note that i have a licence since 2010 and never have a issue like that..

Ιf you replace it with the corresponding file, ......\Program Files\Resolume Arena 5.0.4\ScreenSetup.dll ,The resolume arena 5.1.0 opens normally . <ADMIN EDIT: THIS IS A VERY BAD IDEA. DON'T DO THIS!>

I thought what is purely a bug on software resolume arena 5.1.0 .

You are not alone.

You can install multiple versions of resolume side by side, so if you have uninstalled the previous version just reinstall it, you can get it from the downloads page.

thanks for your answers, that's work fine!

Just a little clarification that can help, you got to do this manipulation before the first launch of Resolume 5.1 so do not start the program at the end of the installation as proposed by default.

I still have this problem with 5.1.1
I don't undestand what's happening? I've uninstalled all, try'ed again and always crash.
Can you clarify this, because makes non sense to me, do I need to manually copy the .dll from 5.0.4 and replace the new one to make it work?
Why? What's wrong with the new .dll?

If you replace the dll file just the resolume arena 5.1.0 opens normally . Nevertheless it has function like the 5.0.4 .
I said the above as verification that the arena 5.1.0 is the problem and not the pc of each user .

I think the ScreenSetup.dll file has compatibility problem with some graphics cards .

Oh, thanks kaloneros. I've believed that was a bug fixed on 1.1, but you say is just a compatibility issue between the library and certain gpus. I will reinstall all again right now.

Excuse me if I'm being repetitive and boring, but will be able to run 5.1 or this is a permanent change?
I mean, my laptop haven't the newest gpu, but still can run 5.0.4. Do I need a more powerfull machine or this is a bug?
The library replace don't work for me, because I just wanted to try the new features (I missed that before). I want to play around with it to see how dev is goin'on.

kaloneros, stability on 4 was a long way... is our patience prize.

It's a bug. If you can run 5.0.4, you should be able to run all 5.x.x versions.
