How to sync up Traktor with Resolume?

Post by pepinpepper »

Hi guys,

First of all I want to start with that I'm a really rookie with Resolume, but I want to sync up mine Traktor with Resolume. So the videos are in the same tempo...

Could somebody tell me witch steps I have to do to sync up the BPM of traktor with Resolume? Or a YouTube video, that's always the easiest way :-)

Thank you anyway!

Greetings,
Pepin Pepper

I have the same problem. And this pictures dont show whole story.
First+it is just for MAC, but I need for PC (on PC (Win7 - there is no any "Virtual output" in Tractor) and I should install some extra internal midi drivers like: rtpMIDI or LoopBe1 I install bouth. And did as it shown on the pictures - but it still dont working!
How can I really check if it is work or not....?
And please, I beg you - make your video for PC (at least Win 7) TOO!!
Most of the people (even VJ or DJ or even sound produsers) STILL use a PC!
So please - enough to show tutorials on MAC only!

So once again a repear my question - how to synchronise Tractor 2 and Arena 4 on WIN7 ?? (the best unswer is Video unswer).

And could you please in Resolume 5 find the way to you MP3 (or any other compress formats) and find the way to syncronise it with FL studio.

Many thanks for understanding.
Looking forward hearing from you!

A lot more DJ's are using Traktor now and it would be useful to know your recomendations on how to midi sync it on a PC

I certainly would be very pleased to hear what you suggest

After you have installed Loopbe1 (http://www.nerds.de/en/loopbe1.html), it's a matter of looking at the screenshots above, and instead of choosing 'Traktor Virtual Output', choose 'Loopbe Internal Midi'.

If you are not sending midi clock then, check the Traktor manual on how to send midi clock. This is actually more of a 'how to use Traktor' problem than a Resolume problem.

Good day!

Thanks for replay!

Is it possible to sync. all swithers, faders, ets... in Tractor with Resolume Arena (not only BPM). Like it is done here (http://resolume.com/blog/8717/max-for-l ... me-patches) through Max for Life with Abletone. Or this tecnology just for Abletone Live?

Best regards!
Looking forward hering from you!

Once again thanks for previos answer! ;)

As the name suggests, Max for Live is only available for Ableton Live.

You can route pretty much all midi out of Traktor quite easily, please refer to the Traktor manual for further info.

All this information is very helpful. I was successfully able to send the bpm signal from Traktor to the trial version of Resolume installed a Macbook Pro. But I need to send the bpm signal to a PC with the full version of Resolume installed on it. Would anyone know how to send the BPM signal from a Macbook running Traktor with an S4 to a Windows 7 PC with Resolume?

Thanks!
