Hi. I am very used to play videos with audio tracks in Resolume.
I´ve learned that selecting playmode to TIMELINE was allways better, considering the audio track within a video clip. It allways worked ok to me that way.
I don´t know what, when or how that have changed in Resolume, but I got no previous warning.
During a presentation last week, I had just one single clip with audio and I had a very specific moment to play it.
It was a live nightmare!!!
The audio was being played in a very low pitch and after a few seconds I was obliged to stop the entire presentation.
It took me a few seconds to realize to set it back to play in 120 BPM mode. When I did that it played correctly, but the damage was already done.
No, there was no change in the way I render my clips whatsoever.
This weekend, another presentation and 14 video/audio clips to be played - every single one in a very specific moment.
I was not expecting to get the same thing. I was wondering something was wrong with the "glitch file" or a bug somehow happened in Arena. Course I dedided to test each file before going live in Arena. Guess what? I got the same thing for every file. No way to play it in TIMELINE mode.
Any clues or comments are welcome.
Thanks
Paulo
Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
Re: Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
My first guess would be that the Composition speed is set to a low value, but that would reset if you create a new composition.
its the slider on the right of the M http://resolume.com/manual/en/r5/compos ... n_controls

Course that was the first thing checked. Composition speed was ok and so was the clip speed. I couldn´t find any parameter on the gui that could explain such behaviour.ravensc wrote:My first guess would be that the Composition speed is set to a low value, but that would reset if you create a new composition.

Could you post a screenshot of your audio preferences, please?
Re: Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
do you use any other audio app while using resolume?
If the other audio app changes the sample rate after resolume startup that could cause a slowdown, for example if you use resolume at 96kHz and the other audio app changes SR to 48kHz you'd hear the audio slow down to half speed.

Re: Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
No other audio app running. Just Arena.

Re: Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
That's a really high buffer size. Could you try decreasing it to 2048 or 1024?
Re: Audio Pitch: Timeline vs. BPM
I just started the system to try changing this value but guess what.... What??? All videos were just playing nicely on timeline mode. No adjustments. Pure magic.Joris wrote:That's a really high buffer size. Could you try decreasing it to 2048 or 1024?
So I will have to wait for another issue to happen to test changing buffer values.
