Another flash problem

Post by dwastian »

Hello,

I'm really sorry, for posting about flash problems, but can't really find any right solution. I've got problems with loading swf files in Resolume 5. What I'm using is:
Win10, 64bit
Resolume 5.0.0
Flash - Chrome 23.0.0.205 (PPAPI), IE 23.0.0.185 (ActiveX)

In any other threads I found about flash, the problem was not playing those files or crashing Resolume or even Win. My problem is, that some files are even not loaded properly in the file explorer window in Resolume, they have yellow bars instead of the preview. Some load well in the file explorer (the preview is visible), but with all of them, when I drag them into the composition nothing happens. There is no error, but also the file is not being added to the composition. As I did nothing.
Those all are files, which I used to use in former projects a year ago. In meantime, my system got updated many times (the OS itself as flash probably too). Where should I start resolving my problem? I tried some different swf files too, but none of them with success.
Down there a screenshot of the file explorer with swf's which don't load correctly (first screenshot) and files whose preview is visible in the file explorer.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Best regards, Dean

Hello again,

I solved the puzzle. The thing which was causing my problems was the location of the swf files. I had them in various subfolders (c:\user\username\documents\subfolder1\subfolder2\sub3 and so on). I moved my swf file to c:\test and now everything works. I hope someone could find this helpfull in the future.

BR, Dean
