Clips Quick Search?

Post by Digitrevx »

Would it be possible to search for clip names?
Much like ctrl+F works in a browser or notepad C++.
Everyone uses Resolume a little differently and I'm sure some of us like my self name clips and might have a show themed with clips that contain song/track names that extend past the viewable space on our screens.

A quick search could take the user the place on the deck where they labeled what they are looking for.
I'm not aware of this feature existing in the current version.

That's an interesting idea.

We're working on adding a search to the browser and I don't think anyone ever mentioned having one in the deck as well. I can see that being very useful.

I'll make a feature request for you. Just so you know, we don't have the time to work on this right now, so it's going to end up in the dreaded feature bucket.

I understand what you mean. I'm sure there are lots of higher priority wishlist items. I am very excited that it at least got in the list. :)

I've been trying to come up with reasonable idea's to improve things without a search without doubling up on hardware. What I mean by that is treating machines like CDJ's so I can search on another pc so I don't loose my place on the first machine.

Maybe something like running duplicate compositions and linking two machines via osc and sending the video out of one into a capture card of another and then sending the video on out from that main machine.

Feels overly complicated and clunky solution however. ><

My last gig I had 5 DJ's where I had about 260 columns of content lined up for each of them for most of their popular songs which I played out live so the searching time in the deck for that next important song was bit too long haha.
