EVENT TONIGHT: Arena not as responsive as Avenue!!

I just upgraded to Arena and all of a sudden all my clips have to 'buffer load" with the little line for a sec!
This totally does NOT work with my style of VJing at all.....jesus....its a deal breaker!

If I open Avenue everything works instantly....I can play the clips like a piano!
Launch Arena and I get the buffering!!

Its a top of the line MSI 4k, GTX 1080, 64gb ram.... and the clips are on an internal NVME drive used JUST for media. So speed aint the issue.

Really want to do some mapping tonight, but may be stuck in Avenue!

(just switch composition beatsnap to none
also you may want to check the Defaults in Preferences for the default timeline mode for newly imported clips, you may want to set them to Timeline so their duration is not rounded to whole beats.)

Wait, is it a red line or a blue-green?
The red line means that the clip preview images are created, this happens only once for a clip, but it has to happen.
The greenish line is the beat snap.
