Resolume & LED Strip

Post by BRODZELi »

I'm three days struggling to find a solution for this problem, but I can't figure out. I using 85 Pixels LED strip and PixLite 16 MkII, from Resolume outputting some basic scaling video, unfortunately, I am getting some problems:

https://vimeo.com/196955492/13aa6ffa49

1.animation switches off same time every three Pixels, a need to be disabled each one after another because this I getting some jigger transition effect.

2.animation on the LED strips starts middle of video animation, when I use [85/3 ] 28-pixel, the start of video animation matching on pixels animation, but I get the previous problem, switches off same time every tree pixel, except one pixel.

I hope you can help me, guys, this is my first try to create some LED mapping.

That strip can only be controlled per 3 pixels.

You can actually see it on the strip itself. If you look closely, you will see that between every 3 pixels there is a chip. That is the chip that controls the LEDs.

If you want to control each LED indvidually, you will need a strip that has a chip for each LED.

Can't go wrong with Adafruit's Neopixel: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1461

You can probably find cheaper WS281x based LEDs on AliExpress, but it can be overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for.
