I don't know if this is a glitch but if I use a layer as input source and uncheck input opacity, I can't adjust the opacity of a clip anymore it stays at 100%.
Ideally, I want to be able to turn the layer opacity down to 0% so that I don't see it in the main composition and still retain the ability to adjust the opacity of individual clips.
Layer as input source - opacity control for clips
Re: Layer as input source - opacity control for clips
For the time being, I'm afraid this is how it is.
Clips playing in routed layers and their opacity is a minefield of multiplied opacity values and all sorts of exceptions that can later be overruled upstream by other exceptions. In the current render pipeline, it's kind of hard to make changes to this without running the risk of breaking everything else.
