I just updated Resolume and I nearly had a heart attack.
Why doesn't the update remember the extra directories added for audio effects?
This failing, why doesn't Resolume on opening a composition which had effects from extra directories point out that there are missing effects with the possibility of relinking them like it does with media?
I very nearly lost a tonne ( I mean it!) of MIDI mapping because of this...
Also, I usually go to preferences and add the relevant extra directories after an update but in this instance I had to do it 4 times quitting Res in between before my composition was back to its original state. Lucky I realised what was going on before I saved my comp and lost it all!
ask for directories after updating
Re: ask for directories after updating
Yikes.
When used in a composition, a plugin always keeps a link to its file location. So when you load a composition that has plugins that are not loaded during startup, Resolume will look where the plugin was last stored, and load it from there.
Looks like this is working fine for FFGL plugins, but not for VSTs. Thanks for letting us know!
