Help with Resolume + Serato please!

Post by Imagine_Music »

Hello community,

I am interested in learning Resolume.

Resolume seems to be exactly what I need for video and projection mapping... but how do I make it work with my set-up?

I am currently using a Pioneer DDJSZ, with Serato. The DDJSZ is a digital mixer, so the controller must be used with a software program (Serato).

Is there a way to use Resolume with this setup?

I saw a program named Syphon which seems to help with this, but from my understanding... that program is only available for Apple computers. I use Windows. I also know of smpte, but I'm not sure if that will work on my setup. Also, I only have 2 decks on my controller... not 4.

I would really appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you very much!

If your pioneer device has a midi interface appearing in your OS, then you can map your buttons, knobs, etc, in resolume to program functions.

Yes, I've used since 2014.
Once you open "serato video" you will have a 3 options in the Syphon/routing/external feed in RESOLUME SOURCE.
Left, Right and main.
Chose the one you need.

Best,

j.
