Hi everybody, I'm
Fairly new to Resolume, and I have been running into some problems with
SMPTE.
I basically want to trigger clips in Resolume via 2 CDJ's. My track left/right channels are split up in left being the audio track (mono) and right channel being the SMPTE signal.
The SMPTE signal is being routed into my Macbook Pro but for some reason it is not being picked up in Resolume... I've tried both sending the SMPTE through the audio in port as well as via a USB external soundcard but no luck..
Am I forgetting something in order to get this to work?
Resolume won't pickup my SMPTE signal...

I'm assuming you're using Arena and not Avenue, correct?
Go to the Audio Preferences and make sure of two things:
Go to the Audio Preferences and make sure of two things:
- 1) you've got the correct input selected for SMPTE 1 and/or 2
2) your SMPTE Timecode Framerate matches your SMPTE signal.

Yes I'm using Arena 5.
I'm not sure what you mean in your 1st point: It's not really clear to me where SMPTE1 & SMPTE2 take their input from. I don't see a possibility to connect SMPTE 1 or 2 to a specific input source. Or is this a mistake of me?
Besides that, this might be a dumb question, can Resolume start a specific clip (via SMPTE), or does the clip I want started need to be selected first? The SMPTE documentation that I can find on this is really really basic....

Smpte clip trigger doesn't work natively.Besides that, this might be a dumb question, can Resolume start a specific clip (via SMPTE), or does the clip I want started need to be selected first? The SMPTE documentation that I can find on this is really really basic....

Your probably getting the audio but have some kind of key lock set on the cdj. Resolume can handle some pitch adjustements but normally key locks and other things ruin it. We ran into this with the MA.
Edit: missed that he hadn't event setup the input source.
