Hi guys,

I have been going HAM on a new hardware dedicated for resolume.

Here below are my hardware spec:

1x ASUS Z10PE-d8 WS Mobo
1x Intel Xeon E5-2640v4, 2.4Ghz, Cache 25MB, LGA2011-v3
4x Team DDR4 ECC Reg Server Ram 16GB 2133Mhz (Running 64gb)
1x MSI GTX 1080 Armor 8GB DDR5x 256 bit
and LOADS OF FANS to keep the heat far farrrrrr away!

I wanted to ask, how impressive is running 115 to 140 FPS range consistently with playing and previewing 1920x1080@30p with a DXV 3 codec through the Resolume ui? (it means I am not out putting into any external monitors)
How can I achieve better FPS? Maybe a better GPU with higher VRam and memory bandwidth?

Note: I am also running Resolume and its clip(s) on a Samsung SSD 850 PRO 2.5" SATA III 1TB

This very likely has to do with your Vsync settings in the GPU control panel.

At 100+ fps nothing more matters. Not even strobeing will improve. Like these guys said your playback content wont even be that fps. All that's important is to make sure it stays over 60 at whatever resolution your trying to do. It's not about e-sports and CS:go.

If you column bomb 6-7+ HD clips running 4k resolutions and don't want nuke your fps yes nVME m.2's help because that's the real test. Long duration transition effects times are also hard work with that many clips being accessed at once.
