I was wondering, if there is a way to set up a live source in resolume, with the same Mac as I run resolume on without the us of an external device such as a soundcard. Is it possible for example to play iTunes on the same Mac as my interface, and somehow route that into resolume?
Obviously I would not use this during shows, but when I am setting up or just playing around it would be cool to be able to use only one machine without any extra boxes connected and still mimic the input from f.ex a DJ

How to I put in to resolume after setting it up? I can't see it as a source

loopback
I got I working in other apps, so now I just need to get it into resolume. (Arena, if it matters)

Select the new virtual device you created in Loopback under Preferences>Audio>External Audio FFT Input and set the input gain to match what you're trying to achieve.
Note that uou may have to restart Arena to refresh the audio devices in the menu if you created the new virtual device in Loopback while Arena was running.

I dit that
But... (I am very new to resolume) Can I not put it in a clip this way? If I can. then how? I selected in preferences "record audio", but the audio does not come with it. Neither can I hear it in resolume, so how does this input work?
Is it only for making visuals sync?

You can animate parameters using your external feed by clicking on the arrow next it and choosing Audio FFT>External.
