Hi people! Im a new user with Resolume and im just starting with cake mapping, so i hope this topic help me and other future cake mappers!
Here we go... so, I worked a lot in the business of motion graphics so thats my strength, im good animating. Actually I am the only one in this venture where im from. But I encountered some difficulties and need some directions to get started.
GO!
Shape of the cake? Its a 4 floor square one.... My idea was to make an easy (but multiple) compositions in AE for every face of the cake, this is what i made.
I do not know if this is the right way, but I thought it appropriate to build the animation of the whole cake with one single video.
But I got stuck with this...
I'm so used to AE masks that I thought I could select (or even mask) every corner of the drawing in the Input Selection and then take it to the Output Transformation to map it easily, and start with the animation... i dont want to use beziers beacuse the lines do not stay straight.
Maybe I started wrong with the scheme and here is where i need help.
Thanks! And sry for my english, did my best!
Cake Mapping just starting
Re: Cake Mapping just starting
Hi!
That's how we do it:
Each side of each level is separate slide, so you don't need so many control points: just place slices from your content to corresponding levels of the real cake.
