User Fonts Resolume 6

Post by drmbt »

Text Generator is great. I've got a gig coming up where I'd like to test her out, but it doesn't seem as if Resolume 6 sees the newly installed font sent over by my client. Any way to refresh the fonts Text Animator sees?

Are you on a Mac or PC?

What kind of font is it?

On my Mac, it seems to work fine with True Type Fonts ( .fft & .ttc) and Open Type Fonts (otf) but none of the Font Suitcase fonts show up in the list.

But then, for or example, it seems that if a font is a True Type Font and the font file ends up in .TFF, Resolume won't see it but if you change it to a .tff and restart Resolume, the font will be available.

Could you upload that font file, so we can check it?
Thanks!

Dear ravensc, are you parsing the font files by yourself, or is made trough a system api?
Maybe is just windows failure and need a restart to recreate his font caché..

There could be many factors why a font file would not load, could be as simple as resolume not checking the right folder or the file extensions are not included as Oakltown pointed out.
Resolume creates it's own font cache afaik.
Anyhow, if we have the file, it's easier to find out.
