Hey all Builder Bob's....
Scenario:
Content on layer 1 and 2
Crossfader assigned 1A 2B
Layer 2 has 50% content with alphachannel......sometimes I would like to not use the alphachannels....So I'm searching for a solution to disable alpha for the whole layer.
The problem seems so basic to me...I'm sure I'm blind and miss something
Best wishes

Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?

Re: Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
A VideoWall effect with Black BG enabled and Screen set to 1, and Zoom to 1 will remove the alpha channel, keeping the original texture.

Videowall seems to be a weapon in general
Thanks again Zoltan!

Re: Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
Super useful to know!
Re: Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
The Solid Color effect has a Show Image toggle, mostly for this purpose.
Re: Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
Another scenario when my suggestion of a simple multiply filter can be handy.

Thanks joris...and I guess this way is much more resource efficient?Joris wrote:The Solid Color effect has a Show Image toggle, mostly for this purpose.

Re: Disable all alphachannels inside a layer?
From the top of my head, I'm not sure what Videowall actually does at those settings. The Solid Color approach is probably on par with Flip with Black BG.
This is exactly what Solid Color with Show Image does.Another scenario when my suggestion of a simple multiply filter can be handy.
