vFx Opas 0 == vFx Disabled?

Post by cosmowe »

Hey there...
I am still working on a new master composition for R6... I added a lot of video effects for layers and the whole composition. Effects for any cases.....

So my question....if I set an fx opacity to zero instead of bypassing it....will Resolumes performance be like the effect wouldn't been added?

Best wishes

Yes, that's optimized so those effects are skipped completely.

In some edge cases, this gives arguably wrong results, such as RGB Delay and Trails possibly containing super old frames or clearing their buffer after having their opacity down for a few minutes.

We reckon this is preferable over the alternative, which is to render everything all the time..
