How to mapping Arena5 with 16 columns (or clips) x 5 layers with Akai APC40 Mk2?

Post by KONTEKST »

How to mapping Arena5 (or 6) with 16 columns (or clips) x 5 layers with Akai APC40 Mk2?
The pattern is first layer on top is logos, the second down is FX and three layers dowen are content clips.
What i need is let each layer has 16 clips but APC40 Mk2's pad is just ( 5 rows x 8 columns ), really need some advise or any other idea?
thank you.

I run into this problem also as I load more clips than I can trigger on the APC. I just picked up a Novation launch pad that I am going to setup to trigger clips along with the apc40. I just upgraded to a 28" 4k monitor so seeing all the clips is easy I may just stick to using the mouse lol.

Another option would be to split the 16 decks over 2 pages and use a button on the apc to switch between pages.

Yes, man. This is what i want to know how to make it 2 pages when mapping.

PS: in topic i didn't mean "decks", i mean each layers has 16 clips. Sorry for weak English.

OK, guys. Maybe i probably use wrong wording in my question.
So how about if i say "How to map column9-16 (or further more) for each deck in APC40 kmII?"
as see in picture >>>

Bomes midi translator can handle this.

If you want fluid access to your 16 columns, you might need 2 APC40 side by side with Bome's midi translator
