Opening the clip window with midi commands

Post by agrabb »

Hey guys,

I noticed that I'm unable to get the clip window to open by triggering a clip with midi, I need to manually click it. This means I dont have midi access to anything I put into that lone clip unless I click it. Not a huge deal, but definitely changes the way I like to work live. Do you know if there is a way to change this preference, or why it's there. Basically, I want the clip window to open for each clip I select with a midi command. Thank you and sorry if this has been touched on before.

Edit- Just noticed this is only happening in Resolume 6. Not 5

Go to the preferences and check the "update clip on external trigger" and that should get you up and running.

That did it! Thank you so much. Also noticed that theres a new midi preference that needs to be set. Theres "Selected clip" and "this Clip" as well as "selected layer" and "this layer". That was also a solution.
