midi colors

can someone help me with mapping the output colors on midi controller
now they just play random colors, most are the same but a few are completely different and when i went through the drop down menu that shows like 100 colors nothing changed
apc 40 mk2
arena 6
windows 10 64 bit

Shall we try and walk through one option?
Pick a button of the APC40MK II and we will program it the way you want. I understand that the new shortcut system could be a bit daunting.

Shamai, you need to set a different color for each of the states so make sure you've got the right state selected before you make your color choice.

For instance, if you're dealing with a clip, you'll get the following choices:

so if you want to customize your mapping you'd need to choose 1 color (velocity) per state.

thanks oaktown, ill try it soon, just wondering
empty is when theres no clip in a box?
disconnected is if its not playing?
previewing is if its in my preview monitor?
connected is live?
connected and previewing is live and in preview monitor?

Iv been trying to get my colours working on my apc with the a/b cross fader, the function works but the colours don’t correspond??? Can any one help?
