Decklink with Arena 6 BUGS

Hi,

So we just built a new machine with a Decklink Quad 2 and GTX1080ti, running Arena 6.
The decklink doesn't seem to work properly with arena, It will play videos out fine, but if you turn down the opacity the screen goes white and fades out.
Also when using the text generator it has big blocks around the text and strobes.

We are hooked into an Atem and running at 1080i50. not sure if the interlacing is causing the issues but we have to run interlaced.

Please help, trying to setup for a show coming up soon.

Which opacity do you turn down that causes this?

Does this happen only when you output via the decklink?

Interlacing shouldn't cause this type of thing as fas as I know, but it could be.
Could you try the same setup without the output set to the decklink to rule this out?

The master opacity causes this.

I also found that it is causing our Spout output to strobe like crazy.
As soon as you either stop using the decklink output or switch to a different res like 720p50 it starts working fine, but with the decklink outputting 1080i50 it causes all sorts of craziness.
So does seem to be interlacing related.

Which Resolume version/build are you using, and do you have the latest BMD rivers?

We have the final release 6.0.0 and they are the latest BM drivers.
It’s a brand new machine, just assembled, all latest drivers and firmware across the board.

Does the text strobe start when you move the master opacity (composition?) down, or is it constant?
Do you have Output Delay enabled in Advanced Output for the screens?
Is this on windows or mac?
Would it be possible for you to create a short video of this happening?

Did you find the bug with Strobing Decklink outputs and strobing Spout output?

Hey can be possibly get a solution / work around for this? We have a gig in a week that requires SDI outputs...

No but the screens go to a full white screen when at ~98% opacity

Do you have Output Delay enabled in Advanced Output for the screens?
No

Is this on windows or mac?
Windows 10 64 bit

From what I understand, the strobing - flashing starts once you touch the composition master fader.
Is that correct?
If so, if you'd create a new layer on top of your composition and put a Solid color source to the top layer, set the layer's blend mode to Alpha, and the Solid color's color to black.
Fading this solid color clip/layer in and out, should hide your composition texture.
You can set the layer to Ignore column trigger, so your black clip doesn't get disconnected on column launch.
This way you wouldn't need to touch the master fader.
