V6 freezes every time I select a display from output settings

Hi,
I'm new to Resolume, but very experienced in Media Servers and Video Engineering. Just testing on a laptop with a single HDMI output until I build my servers. When I go to the output and select Display 2, my external monitor goes black(which I'm assuming is ok since I'm not playing anything during that time), however Resolume completely freezes each time. I get the blue spinning circle. I have to close the program and re-open.
Now, I have not registered one of my licenses on the laptop, but according to the website, it should still work, it will just put that resolume logo up on occasion. Which is fine. I'm just playing around right now.
Using MSI laptop with Windows 10 home editiion, Core I7-5700HQ@2.7ghz Nvidia GTX 960M-4096mb VRAM
