Video pauses / hiccups when changing playback position

Greetings!

I am trying to use controller values to cause a clip to jump to a specific time... It is working currently, HOWEVER, whenever I make a jump, playback pauses for about 10 milliseconds or so, enough for the eye to notice it.

It is super important that this look nearly seamless, the video needs to match the audio precisely... Does anyone have suggestions for me?

Running Resolume 5 on a brand new Mac Pro kitted out as much as possible (Dual 6gb graphics, 32gb RAM, SSD). Midi data is coming from Max/MSP routed to Resolume via internal network. Sound is on a separate machine, both machines use the same midi data. It is NOT a midi issue upstream, it is an issue within Resolume. This happens no matter how I jump in the timeline...

I have tried:
Optimizing my Mac Pro as best a possible, killing unnecessary background processes etc.
Creating a Ram disk to run both the app and videos (helped a little bit, but impractical in the long run)
Using DXV3 Codec (is there a better codec I could use?)

I am currently in Resolume 5, as I have done a ton of work on this composition and am not ready to convert it over to 6. I will see if the same issue happens there, but I assume it will.

Are you using normal or high quality DXV?
