A6 and Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k fail, blank input

Hello again :)

We still have issues with A6 with Decklink Blackmagic intensity pro 4k HDMI input card. The problem is the same on win 8.1 pro 64 and win 10 pro 64. We're sure the pro 4k is working, its absolutely flawlessly do its job in A5, and in every cast apps like OBS, Wirecast etc..

The problem in A6 is we get total blank input (into A6) from Decklink intensity pro 4k source. The resolution automatically set to the native input resolution (and freq) and cannot be changed. If we try to change its automatically jump back to native immediately.

While its blank in A6, on the cards HDMI output the signal shows up correctly and can be monitored when we drop the source into a layer and loaded into mix, but in A6 its ALWAYS black.

Strangely, in A5 there is 2 different source for this card, exactly like these:
A., BlackMagic Capture Devices -> Intensity Pro 4k 1 (this one works in A5)
B., Directshow Capture Devices -> Decklink Video Capture 1 (this one NOT works in A5 and acts same in A6)

In A6 there is only 1 source appears exactly like this:
Capture Devices -> Decklink Intensity Pro 4K (and this is acts same as B., in A5 = blank input in Arena)


Please, help us to find the solution. This HDMI input is really important for us.

We're working on it, the issue seems to be with configuring the input connection properly. Somehow video doesn't seem to get enabled in some cases. #10079

Someone was having issues with this card on their MBP.

For a temporary work around, I would think creating a touch designer composition with the intensity pro coming in through an input chop directly. Connected to a NDI output chop, then hang a NDI source come into resolume would work. Since its a local patch, I wouldn't expect more than a 2ms delay.

This is hypothetical, but I feel it would probably work out as a free band aid, until resolume is patched and working.

What's your thoughts on this Zoltan?

Yes this is working well with many apps. eg wirecast. Like a virtual webcam. Latency is very important unfortunately.

You should be using the spout/syphon top. Not ndi, this isn't an efficient way of texture sharing on a single gpu. This way your closer to 0.1 ms latency ontop of the standard capture. Since resolume and touch designer both use the same API.

This should only be used if your gig is very very close. I would email support as well.

Interesting. So using Spout rather than NDI will give better performance? I didn't know Resolume shared API's with NDI or Spout. So it's just Spout?

Sorry I was vague and that isn't what I was getting at. I meant the same capture Framework for black magic devices. You still should be texture sharing on the gpu with spout and Syphon. What advantage do you see with using a network protocol to share textures locally on a single gpu?

Now if it's between separate machines 100% Ndi.

Also sorry OP, Arvol and I get nerd side tracked together a lot.

Any news with the Intensity Pro 4k issue? Its still blank. We would like to use it. :cry:

What source are you using? Not the resolution, but the actual device you are trying to capture.

We had a report where Mac computers and SkyTV would work in both 5 and 6, but X-Box and Windows computers would only work in 5.
