Dear Resolume,
I'm afraid that I am not impressed with Arena 6 so far. Here's why: In arena 5 I can re-start every clip in a column by clicking on the column, which is great, because I can do something simple, like have the same clip in each layer, with each clip running on a slightly different speed, so they go "out of phase" over time.
For some reason, this is not the case in Arena 6. Why? I have been through the manual and it seems that if I set a clips "Fader Start" to "on", it does not re-trigger the clip when I fade up the layer again. I have checked all my settings and compared them to the same settings in 5, and everything is the same, but 5 will re-trigger a clip when it's column is activated.
I have a gig tonight and it looks like I will be using 5 unless i can sort this out.
So much for the upgrade. So far I cannot see any benefits.
Cheers,
Paddy
clip start on click column
Re: clip start on click column
Doh,
Sorry, I have just sussed this out - clips were not set to 'Re-start' on the play head.
I am a pilchard.
Cheers,
Paddy

Re: clip start on click column
Hmmm,
Maybe I'm not that much of a pilchard after all.
In Preferences, I have set the default video play mode to start at beginning. It does not change the clips I already have in my layers, but does default to that setting with any new clips I add.
Jolly good...
