Cannot use Blackmagic Web Presenter - Resolume 5

Dear Resolume developer and everybody,

I bought Blackmagic Web Presenter:

The problem is, the Web Presenter not detected on Resolume 5.


But detected on Windows Device Manager.


Can Resolume Developer release new update for Resolume 5, to support Blackmagic Web Presenter?
Is anybody have tried blackmagic Web Presenter on his/her Resolume?

HP ZBook 15 G3
- intel Core i7-6700HQ
- 8GB DDR4
- AMD Firepro W5170M (my mistake.. i should using Nvidia CUDA than AMD)
- Windows 10
- Resolume 5.1.4


* software HWiNFO64 v5.70-3300 (latest version when i write this post), read my GPU is Radeon R9. In fact my GPU is Firepro W5170M

Does the device appear in OBS or Skype or similar programs?

The Blackmagic Web Presenter works fine in Skype, vMix 19 and Windows 10's Camera for webcam.

Resolume can open Directshow camera sources, does the camera have a Directshow driver?

The Blackmagic Webpresenter doesn't have Direct Show driver.

For this problem, can i and Resolume organization together ask to Blackmagic Design to release a driver that adding Direct Show driver for Blackmagic Webpresenter?
Or Resolume organization could release new update for Resolume 5 for adding support to Blackmagic Webpresenter?

Because i already invested Resolume Arena 5 for 3 computers license.

I'm assuming you need the Blackmagic Web Presenter for another application, correct?

Why don't you add an SDI/HDMI capture card to your work flow and capture the signal from the SDI/HDMI loop-out?

If you’re on a Mac you could run OBS in the background. The web presenter works really well with that, and then you can Syphon the feed into Arena.

Blackmagic Design Web Presenter, i'll type become BMD-Web-Presenter.

I already use BMD-Web-Presenter with vMix and Skype.
They're can recognize BMD-Web-Presenter as a web cam.

I need BMD-Web-Presenter for using with Resolume.
Because the BMD-Web-Presenter's concept as recognzied as a web cam is very fun for me.
Just plug AC cord, USB, HDMI/SDI cable and play.
I don't have to install any driver for using BMD-Web-Presenter.
Unfortunately, Resolume 5 Arena 5.1.4 cannot see BMD-Web-Presenter as an input device.

About your suggestion for using SDI/HDMI capture card. I already use Blackmagic Decklink 4K, Decklink Studio, Duo, Quad, Intensity, Ultrastudio Pro, and Ultrastudio Express. They're works fine for me.
I just want BMD-Web-Presenter can work with Resolume 5 Arena.
Because of it's 720p through USB3 is using low bandwidth than compared to my Blackmagic products.

I never try OBS. I'd love to try that.
But i still demand Resolume to release a new update for Resolume 5 Arena that works fine with Blackmagic Design Web Presenter.

OBS is great and free and should work well for you until this can be supported if that happens.

As a note, using the word demand might be the wrong choice of word.

I’m pretty sure there won’t be any add’l updates of Arena 5 considering Arena 6 was released a few months ago so you‘ll want to update to V6 if you’re expecting any new features.
