An advanced driver conflict situation that may interest you.
I'm running Resolume Avenue 6.0.4 on Windows, and installing the desktop version of Duet Display (a cross-platform iOS-device-as-display app) causes Resolume to crash upon startup. This also applies to Resolume Alley.
This occurs merely by having the software installed, not with an active display, or loaded into memory. Presumably due to the virtual display driver(s) it uses. Removing the software allows Resolume to start again.
While this is not technically your problem, it would be really fun to have Resolume outputing to a Retina tablet screen....is there any chance to get this co-existence working?

Re: Having Duet Display installed crashes any Resolume
I'm trying to run Resolume Arena 6 with Duet Display (allowing me to use iPad as second display on OSX High Sierra), but I'm getting the following error in the Duet App:
"Unable to use a required port. Port is already in use by Arena (PID 8051)"
Any ideas on what is this port doing in Arena 6? Can I change this port in Arena so that I can use Duet?

Re: Having Duet Display installed crashes any Resolume
Setting aside, that duet Display can crash Arena just by having it installed,
Resolume uses ports for Art-net (6454), OSC (what you set as input, default 7000, and output, default 7001) and Denon StageLinQ (51337, 41862, 41877, 41907, 41922)
The ones you can change are OSC, the others are fixed. Your error message doesn't specify the port, so I'd recommend contacting the makers of DuetDisplay about this.
