Arena 4 - Using NDI to get Rekorbox Video Output source

Post by joaosilvaa »

Hi guys, i've been using NDI TOOLS to get the image from the rekordbox video from the Dj resident (Via ethernet cable - Syphon to Spout NDI), and it works good, almost no delay.

But sometimes it freezes a bit. But no Fps loss. What can possible make this happen?

Best regards

Is the network over 100BaseT or GbE?

That could be the bottleneck then, when the graphics get moving fast.
A 1080p NDI stream can easily go over 100 megabits bandwidth.
You could try lowering the resolution, that would also make the NDI encoding easier on the sender, and the decoding on the receiver.

thanks i think i found the problem then... i send the rekordbox video in "medium quality" which equals 800x600 i think can't remember the exactly resolution... The problem here is im using 2 computers to receive the same "sender". So im sending the rekordbox video over 100mbit connection to 2 computers, yes 2. because on the club they got 2 pc's for 6 Projectors, and 1 pc acting like "server" via osc to the second one. Maybe the 100 mbit connection isnt suficient. because with 1 sender / 1 receiver it doenst lag. if i do 1 sender / 2 receivers sometimes it bottlenecks and lags.

You should be able to check this easily with Task manager's network monitor.

I've done that, and in one computer the internet bandwith keep stable, and in the other one it drops some to 0% and comeback.
