Video/Audio unsync AND live capture fail

Post by victorsham »

I have recently installed Resolume 6.0.5 on my Windows 10, I have several 4-5 mins clip in my composition, and a live capture source from a Blackmagic Intensity Pro.

My problem:
1. Live capture suddenly go black and when I restart Resolume, the operating system crash and PC restart
2. Clips and its audio content out of sync (Approx. 200 - 300 ms), when I restart Resolume, it will solve for a while, then problem sometimes re-appear

Have anyone encountered problem like this?
Please help...

I have also experienced the A/V sync issue. I've found that upon first start & run the A/V sync will be fine - playing a longer vid with its own audio. Then after a while of playing other loops, audio assets, etc. & going back to replay the first vid, the audio then runs out of sync - which really sucks when the vid is of people talking, or a sync'd backdrop for a dance performance. The only way I've found thus far to mitigate the issue is to select a different audio output in Resolume Audio settings, then go back & reset it to the one I'm using - thereby trying to reset the audio output.
That seems to get things back in sync for a while, but it's not a solution - can't be always changing the audio output interface during a show.

Do you have the latest Desktop video drivers?

We have seen this kind of issue when Resolume outputs to Direct Sound devices.
Selecting the Windows 10 native driver has solved the issue for us, could you try if it would work for you too?

Yes I have installed the latest Desktop video driver from Blackmagic.

I am using an interface from Focusrite, also a latest update. May be it has some compatibility problem with Window 10?

We have 6.0.7 out, please update and check if the issue persists.
If it does, please contact us with your log file using the Feedback tab in Preferences.
Thanks!

Are you using the ASIO driver for the interface?
What is your audio buffer setting?
Does the interface work fine in other applications?
