I just converted a batch of .mov files to the DXV codec at 1920X1080
When I go to drop them into resolume, it reads as having an aspect ratio of 2258X1080 and it is adjusted 300 pixels offset on its width.
I haven't hit resize, they are all set to original.
If I'm missing something or someone else has seen a solution to this it would be much appreciated to figure this out. I can resize everything but its like 50 files but will have to do it manually because the auto resize does not fill for fit to the screen properly. I'm flying out to a show this week and would like to figure this out!!!!
Ingesting Media with incorrect aspect ratio
Re: Ingesting Media with incorrect aspect ratio
For a fast solution you could use the layer's Auto size option.
For a slower one, we could try to find out if your file is actually 1920x1080 or it is an issue in Resolume, we'd need to take a look at one of the files for this, so if you could share them, that would be awesome!

Re: Ingesting Media with incorrect aspect ratio
I'm 99% sure these files are encoded with a non-square pixel aspect ratio. This is indeed a problem on < 6.0.7 release, and should be fixed in the upcoming 6.0.8

If you like, hit us up via mail@resolume.com and you can help us confirm the fix.
Re: Ingesting Media with incorrect aspect ratio
I think youre right with the media encoder and square pixels. I ended up managing to get it to work rendering to DXV in after effects. I think I should be alright in that regard.
I'm just really concerned about the reliability of 6.0.7. I'm getting more crashes than I've ever gotten using resolume. Changing the beat time on some layers causes it to crash, and cntrl + shift + m is causing it to crash periodically as well.
I just have my first big show with some very well established DJs this weekend, and I can't mess it up.
If you recommend rolling back to 6.0.6 let me know. I'm not going to map any thing or change beat times during the show, but the frequency of the crashes is concerning

Re: Ingesting Media with incorrect aspect ratio
Personally, I've ran 6.0.7 on several shows and I haven't experienced instability. So I can't really recommend rolling back or staying put, since I don't know what you could be dealing with.
If you're experiencing crashes, it's best to send in as many crash reports as you can. That way we can fix things the quickest.
