Arena 5 freezing when midi mapping

I'm running into a very frustrating problem where my Resolume is freezing up consistently after midi mapping. Both in composition and application midi maps this occurs.
This is what basically happens: When I add a mapping and afterwards click on "stop mapping", a couple seconds later Resolume just freezes up (I get a spinning wheel, and the program becomes completely unresponsive).
I've tried reinstalling, emptying my archive, reinstalling DXV codec from the site, playing around with the Midi input/output settings, but nothing really works. Also reading the logs didn't really show me any critical errors or anything.
Without any midi mapping in place, the program seems to work normal.

I'm on a Macbook Pro 2017 Touchbar.

Any idea's what could be causing the problem?

Sounds like you may have a midi feedback going on.
Check the Midi settings in Preferences that you don't send and receive for loopback devices like the IAC device.

I currently have Midi IN and OUT checked on the IAC Bus 1 in my midi preferences. Are you saying the OUT needs to be unchecked?

One of the two needs to be unchecked so you don't send midi back to Resolume, to have Resolume react and send the feedback to Resolume to react....
