Akai APC clip organization

Question to all users that use an Akai APC 20/40/... to perform:

How do you organize your clips of a layer on the 5x8 ? Horizontal or vertical ?
I've got my layer's video slider mapped to the APC faders, which are horizontal, but I wonder how people organize their clips on those layers.

I do everything vertical so everything directly above each fader is linked to that layer. Honestly dont use the clip buttons as much as i would like to use. I have a good mouse and lots of screen real estate so I find myself using the mouse to trigger more now.

I don’t use it for general clip access. I use mouse for that also. I use the midi pad for specific clips, strobes, effects etc that I mash along with the music. So no matter where I am in a comp I can always hit the same FX.
