Silent triggering

Hi, is there a way to externally trigger (MIDI, OSC, etc.) and NOT select a clip? The use case I have now is that I want to program some chases using Vezer, I want to trigger a particular sequence of clips. However, sending the automation to Resolume results in the clip sequence "owning" the clip tab, stoping me from performing additional actions on top of the automation.

I noticed that doing automation using the autopilot doesn't result in this behavior. Is there a way to trigger a clip without selecting it using OSC? is there a better way to do what I want to do?

Uncheck Update clip panel on external trigger in General Preferences.
