assign clips & source param & effect help

ok ive got three problems:

1. A effekt has been triggered is there a method to choose some lifetime of the effect (1 sec, 2 sec)

2. wtf is the controller source param for, i cant find a explanation here or at google and cant find out what this key do.

3. i need to assign midinote to a clip, play it when i press a note, is there any workaround for this problems.

ok i solved the problem with clip assignment, but the other two problems are already there.
