Output layers not blending

Post by jmurray »

Carrying on from my question a few days back about outputting different layers to a beamer and to LED panels (thank you for the replies by the way...)

I just got that happening, the layers are blending normally on the output monitor, but when they come thru the beamer its only the top layer that overrules everything below.

I've tried every blend mode, mask mode and every other setting in the advanced output that I can see..

Been working on it two days and going crazy here!
any ideas? thanks, james

Check your slice input is set to “composition” in the ASS. Sounds like you may have it set to your top layer.

Are you trying to composite in the advanced output?

I have tried setting the slice to Composition and the others to their layers, not helping.
I feel like I've tried every combination but am not seeing something really really simple...

Oaktown, what do you mean 'trying to composite in AO'?

thanks for your answers, my head is about to explode!

It sounds like you’re trying to use the advanced output to create to composite your slice, is that the case?
