Hey, what is the best way to capture a 'live' youtube video in resolume?
By live, i mean a video that i have not previously downloaded but am watching from youtube live. I can do this easily in OBS with the 'window capture tool', but cant figure out how to get it from OBS to resolume (without using syphoner, which isnt working well for me).
What is the best way to capture a youtube video in resolume?
Thanks!

Re: best way to capture youtube video in resolume?
Try some of the NDI screen capture (or scan converter) apps, Arena can see NDI sources well.

I totally agree with Empyfree, tryout NDI.
Here is another free tool for NDI screencapture https://www.vmix.com/ndi/

If you have an iPad laying around, you can also try this: http://www.sienna-tv.com/ndi/webndi.html
Re: best way to capture youtube video in resolume?
Thanks! I watched some videos about NDI yesterday, seems like it could be helpful for alot of things! Following up:
1. How can I use NDI to capture a window or part of a screen (like for a youtube video)? I see a desktop capture app but not anything for window capture?
2. Does it need to use up wi-fi resources? Even if the NDI sources are on the same computer or connected by a wire?
3. Can it also be used to capture ios screen? I see that app can send iOS browser over NDI, but i’m also interested in sending the screen capture for other apps.
4. I’ve also been considering using a two computer setup to split up the CPU demands of my live stream- one computer that is mostly focused on ableton Live and one that is mostly focused on video. Would using NDI (in conjunction with Ableton Link) be low enough latency that it wouldn’t cause any lag issues?

Re: best way to capture youtube video in resolume?
For your question 1 - Download the software(s) linked above and have a play!
At least one of them (I forget which) allows you to specify a program window as a source, rather than just a desktop area.

Re: best way to capture youtube video in resolume?
Thanks, I downloaded all of them and looked at all but haven't been able to find the window feature...
Re: best way to capture youtube video in resolume?
A workaround could be the "crop" fx in Resolume
....capture the whole desktop of your source computer and "crop" inside Resolume.
