NDI or Spout/Syphon to mobile device.

Post by Arvol »

Has anyone successfully sent NDI or Spout/Syphon from Resolume to a mobile IOS or Android Device?

What application did you use on your mobile device to get this to work?

Can't find a NDI Monitor for mobile, and the Syphon Monitor app doesn't seem to be working for me (tried on IOS and Android).

Got a small project I'd like to try this on.

Thanks

It's something I'm looking into trying. It's $50 though.
I could also get a 8" Windows 8.1 tablet and just run full blown NDI monitor at that point.

I'm tossing around the options.

Really wish I could get the mobile app for Syphon to work, for some reason my mobile devices just don't see any Syphon/Spout streams in the list. :(

Thanks for the suggestion :)

$50 is not a big price to pay for the convenience of being able to broadcast to a web browser on a LAN. You can make that up quickly on a corporate gig ;-)

The advantage of Sienna NDIWebLInk is that you could use it with anything that has a browser such as send PPT to a laptop on lectern as confidence monitor for a small project, send a timer via NDI to the producer's iPhone, etc....!
