Screen interface output problem-windows 10

Post by Marvel Feranti »

Hi,

Does anybody now how to 'fixate' the output settings?
What i mean is this; For my video-installation i want the interface on a monitor and the output on the beamer. Resolume seems to be confused on screen numbers or the hierarchy of the two screens.
It does not want to save the set up and shows output and interface on the same (output) screen when i restart the PC. I made Resolume launch on startup of the PC in case of a power out in the exhibition-space but i don't get the same result after a restart.
There is no reference in the Resolume manual about windows 'main screen' set up concept. I expected to see that on detection of the screens in Resolume the application identifies the screens the same as windows does, but it doesn't.(screen 1 is 2 and visa versa) It does not seem to identify what the 'main screen' is, when i make my monitor 'main screen' in windows i expect to see the interface on that screen. If there is anyone who can help me out on this it then it will be appreciated.

Nils

This is a windows thing.

In your windows display options set you primary screen to the panel, then extend the second monitor.
If your not using an integrated Intel GPU your next monitor will say something like Screen 4 or something like that.

Once it's set and you click save in advanced output, things will save and it shouldn't change unless you tell it to.

Thanks Arvol,

I guess saving in the advanced output window will preserve the screen set up even after restarting the computer. Kinda strange though that Resolume does not place the interface on Default on the main screen as set up in windows. Unfortunately i had to leave the installation as it was because the exhibition was about to be opened and i could not check it anymore. (I read your comments to late) Thanks anyway!
