Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
It's also worth to give it a try with iStat completely off.
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
before mojave and new version of reso all work fine....
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
Yes, I understand that.
For us and the majority of users, everything is fine with Mojave and latest version of Resolume. So we're trying to figure out what makes your setup different from ours, so that we can recreate it and fix it.
The reason I ask about iStat is that having iStat installed has resulted in performance issues in the past. It could be that that is now the case again. It would be great if you could test that. That way we can at the very least strike it out a possible cause.

Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
So, i disable all apps running, istats etc.
there is still the same problem,
as you can see on the screen with new comp it is still droping fps 35-60
on the GFX graphs 60 is the high value, and droping is going down on GPU.
What is interesting i used just NDI yesterday with comp size 3800x1080 px with 4/5 layers dxv 3.0 and sending 2 ndi outputs with 6 slices without any problems with fps, it was still around 60.....
so problem cause only when external display is connected by hdmi....
what now ?

Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
Unless you disable VSync, which is not easy to do on a Mac, your refresh rate is going to be capped at 60.on the GFX graphs 60 is the high value, and droping is going down on GPU.
what's your external display (resolution and refresh rate)?so problem cause only when external display is connected by hdmi....
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
I have the same problem. I think the problem is because the motherlovers of NVIDIA and MAC had a love issue and now they don´t want work together.
The point is that without CUDA driver, if you have a nvidia graphic card, it doesn´t run well.
I discover this problem today after months.
Now - or you downgrade your osx till the last CUDA driver avaiable - or we need to wait for a developer that can help us, mojave hostages.
Resolume have some solution for that?

Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
To be clear, this thread and the original post is about a 2017 MBP with an AMD Radeon GPU running Resolume 6.1 on MacOS Mojave so let's stick to the problem at hand. It becomes to hard to manage if this is used as a general thread for any Mac's performance issue!
hello format my macbook pro 2017 ..
[2.9 ghz core i7
16gb ram
Amd radeon pro 560 4gb vram]
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
To be clear my setup is
About external displays i tested it with normal monitor, full hd, and with projector, its not depend what is connected but i think by what, and then its causing problem, because when i use ndi both cpu and gpu work without dropping frames, its show after sending phusical output.Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. @ 2Vision, as a note, I took your mac's serial number out of the picture for privacy reasons.
What kind of cable/adapter are you using to connect to your external display/projector?About external displays i tested it with normal monitor, full hd, and with projector, its not depend what is connected but i think by what, and then its causing problem, because when i use ndi both cpu and gpu work without dropping frames, its show after sending phusical output.
Re: Resolume 6.1 on Mojave .. Problem!
All of these, and with all its the same problem. So i think its not adapter but res with macbook problem...
