Can't see two outputs independently in Monitor

Post by simonharris915 »

Newbie to Resolume Arena....so this is probably a really basic question.... We have two main physical Outputs, and in Advanced Output, we have two Screens (1 Slice each), pointed to each of the two Outputs and this is working. We want independent content on the two Outputs and have achieved this by setting the Input for the each Screen to a different Group of 4 Layers. This works on the Physical Outputs themselves.

What I am struggling with is ... how do we see both Outputs in the Monitor window (next to preview) on the console...... at the moment both Outputs fill the Monitor Window and overwrite each other, so although the big screens themselves show the right content, the Monitor window on the console only shows one of the Groups of layers.. ie.one of the Outputs. is there a way to split the Monitor Window?

I'm guessing I'm missing some basic point in how to set things up correctly in Advanced Output, so help would be appreciated.

You just have a little Knot in your Head ;)

The Composition will allways show you all Content you have in all the Layers & Groups.

A Solution can be to Expant your Comp to the dubble Wide and place the Groups or the Layers you want next to each other. [ Layer Transfort - Position X ..]
This way you dont even need Groups but Groups still can be usefull to have a lvl to add Effekts on different Screens.

You also can build a 3rd Outpput to Monitor your Outputs and put your Content were you want etc...
But here you cant use the prview you just see your main out.
