EDIT: MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE MOST RECENT VERSION (V5 as of Dec 31, 2017 at 09:00 PST)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is a Touch Designer comp you can use to build your NYE countdown in Resolume 6.
This should work on both PC & Mac with the free non-commercial Touch Designer 099 license. This is a skeleton build with several syphon/spout outputs so that one can hopefully create something cool with it for NYE. To get the right time on the clock, you'll need to set the exact latitude/longitude for your location (the attached file is set for Oakland CA).
All I ask is that if you end up building something cool with it in Touch Designer and Resolume, you share it back on the forum for everyone to use it.

Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Here is an improved version of the Touch Designer comp I posted yesterday. This one has a simpler node structure and has leading zeros for mins, secs, and msecs for the main outputs.
For those of you that are not familiar with TD, for any of the Syphon/Spout Out TOPs, you can easily change the output resolution as well as the font type, size and color in the Text TOPs.
Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
V3 of the Touch Designer Countdown comp. This one includes python scripts that change the plural & singular of hour(s), minute(s) and second(s) based on numbers.
Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
what happen when arrive midnight? do it restart from 23:59:59:999? or there is written: happy new year!!!
Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Something like this?
Here is V4 where I added a Python script to trigger an event set for midnight: You can change the movie and picture files in Touch Designer and test the comp by changing the hr, min, and sec values in the trigger_script. Just don't use leading zeros in the script.

Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Thank you for this!
Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
My pleasure! Hopefully that works for you and everyone who downloaded it.
Here is V5 (final one for this year!) which makes the hh:mm:ss visual count down more in line with the way people will be counting down in the last 10 seconds. The trigger is still at the same time but this makes more sense if you use the counter without msecs.

Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Here is a simplified version of the TD script I shared last year.
As a reminder, to get the right time on the clock, you'll need to set the exact latitude/longitude for your location (the attached file is set for Oakland CA).
You can change the movie and picture files in Touch Designer and test the comp by changing the hr, min, and sec values in the trigger_script. Just don't use leading zeros in the script. Visually, it appears that setting secs to 1 and msecs to 500 works best All I ask is that if you end up building something cool with it in Touch Designer and Resolume, you share it back on the forum for everyone to use it.

Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Very good, could create one with the possibility to put the countdown so that we can modify for the count to end at any time, so we would not be bound to use only once a year.
Re: R6 - New Year's Countdown
Take a look at the video, you can adjust the time easily to match your needs.
