random start

I'm looking for a way to start a movie at random places ( not the random function that makes a mess of the movie) so everytime I launch a clip it would start at different places, thx

If the playhead position on the timeline is measured (as i presume) as a percentage of a clip's overall length (ie halfway is 50% etc) then could you not just generate a random number which could then tell the playhead where to start?
