Hi, I am teaching a Resolume class, and for one of the assignments gave the student the task of recording their VJ sessions with audio (which they are playing back from composition).
The resulting muxed files are wrong duration however and wrong frame rate, as if they were really really stretched out in duration. Oddly enough they play back fine in Resolume, but not in other programs such as Quicktime Player, etc.
We are using Resolume 6 in our school computers. I can provide exact specs later, but was curious if there's an easy solution for this?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Zebbler
Muxed video recording is wrong duration (really long) and 7fps
Re: Muxed video recording is wrong duration (really long) and 7fps
Is this happening with the latest 6.1.1 release?

I will check the version number and report to you guys shortly.
It's definitely Resolume 6, not sure which version at the moment.
But yes, would be very helpful for them to record their a/v sets within Resolume and use those videos in other editing apps. So I will get to the bottom of this to try to sort out the best solution.

Verified versions that definitely have that issue for me:
Resolume Arena 6.0.6
and Resolume Arena 6.1.1
The issue appears only when I select "muxed" recording in preferences.
When I record video only, there is no issue and frame rate of the videos is predictable and mostly correct (well, 30.14... vs. 5.13fps when "muxed" recordings happen).

So this is also happening when you record an AV clip in 6.1.1 release?
Because it should have been fixed for 6.1.1.
This fix in the software won't fix older recordings though, so if you try to play back recordings in Resolume 6.1.1, they will still show wrong frame rates.

Re: Muxed video recording is wrong duration (really long) and 7fps
Well you know what... I re-did the test in my newest 6.1.2 Arena - and the muxed video sync is perfect!
I am not sure what the issue was with my last test (I think I did it in 6.1.1, and was still off somehow). For now - what you say indeed works!! Thank you for the fix
Unfortunately, our school (Berklee College of Music in Boston) is locked to Version 6.0.11 for now... so all of my students can't record their a/v mixes - they get wildly wrong durations for the muxed video, and some are getting wrong duration on the video without the sound as well.
Any chance you could explain what could be going wrong there - just so I can relate to them the issue they are up against?
I'll keep recommending the upgrade in the meantime.
And ...there's always the Syphon Recorder

Tell them there’s a security flaw in 6.0.11. See how fast they upgrade you then!
