Hi everyone.
I’ve got a question about MIDI mapping with a Launchpad MK2 in Arena 6.
So I linked each pads of the launchpad to each clip in Arena, so when I tap on a pad it runs the connected clip. Ok.
And right now I would like to be able to preview the clip before runing it. So I wanted to know if there is a way to use a midi button on the lauchpad as a « shift » button.
So I could hold this this « shift » button, and if I tap a pad (still holding the shift button), it would previews it instead of runing it in the master ?
Is that possible to have such a combinaison between two midi key ?
I hope my question makes sens
Thanks !
Midi preview
Re: Midi preview
The shift button on most controllers is just another note button.
The logic behind the shifting is handled in software.
Currently Resolume doesn't do this, but we have a ticket for it in the features bucket. (#7173)
You can map the clip's name handle to any note to preview it.

Re: Midi preview
Can you map a midi key to change the channel output of your controller?
Example:
When button "x" is bypassed you have a grid of notes like this:
c1n1 c1n2 c1n3 c1n4
c1n5 c1n6 c1n7 c1n8
c1n9 c1n10 c1n11 c1n12
c1n13 c1n14 c1n15 c1n16
(c=channel, n=note)
but when button "x" is pressed, your mapping changes to:
c2n1 c2n2 c2n3 c2n4
c2n5 c2n6 c2n7 c2n8
c2n9 c2n10 c2n11 c2n12
c2n13 c2n14 c2n15 c2n16
This would allow you to map the clip to c1, and the clips name (preview) to c2 but your positioning will be the same. and if you note "x" is a momentary note, it can be used as a quick test.
You can do this in Bomes, but i'm not sure if your controller can do it natievly? I know MIDIfighters can.
Hope this made some sort of sense?
