I have updated my GTX970M laptop as well as my 1070 and on both I am getting mediocre performance when I go full screen. This issue only happens on full screen, when I toggle windowed mode it runs smoothly, around 75/80(on the 970M) and then I toggle full screen it goes to mid 30s with a lot of stutter. I have tried several different nvidia drivers but I am still getting inconsistent performance, the gpu usage hovers around 18/20% when I am getting stutter and low fps. This happens on both res7 and 6.
I am also getting 100% usage on the integrated graphics while on resolume it shows it's being rendered through the dedicated.
My laptop is a razer blade 2016 with a gtx 970M and I have always used it running at around 80/90fps with the vsync off, this issue is pretty and a client of mine even thought it was the machine but when I run all benchmarks the laptop is fully working.
Very poor performance and high gpu usage on fullscreen mode
Re: Very poor performance and high gpu usage on fullscreen mode
Do you have Resolume assigned to the nvidia GPU in the nvidia 3d settings?
If you enable show display info in the output menu, and enable outputs, what do the renderer and the GFX card lines say?

Yes it is set to run and render on the dedicated gpu, I have used this computer for a while, I just started getting this with the latest update.

Try making the external display primary in the Windows display settings, and start Resolume.
Then move it to the integrated laptop screen, and enable output to the external display.
How is FPS and performance this way?

Re: Very poor performance and high gpu usage on fullscreen mode
I did that and it worked, I am getting 95fps with VSync off and steady 60 with it on. I am sorry for the late answer, but will this be the workaround for now?Zoltán wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 15:05 Try making the external display primary in the Windows display settings, and start Resolume.

Awesome, in this case, we have a more permanent one you could try here: https://resolume.com/support/en/optimus-workaroundrenanmarc wrote: Tue Oct 29, 2019 01:26 I did that and it worked, ....will this be the workaround for now?
