v7 licensing question

I totally understand we buy 1 year of support at a time. I already bought my year and enjoying it. Job well done to all by the way. If we have extra cash now, can we add another year at the end of the term? For example:

Let's say I bought v7 in July 2019. I see that I have support up to July 2020
Then, when I have some cash, I want to extend that support to July 2021

Can I use the "Upgrade" button in my account to extend my support? Currently, it looks like the Upgrade button is forcing me to get a second license.

There will be a Renewal button 180 days before the license renewals expire.
Buying a renewal 180 days before the expiration will add 1 year to the expiration date.

Upgrade button is for upgrading the licenses to version 7, or to more computers.
