New to Resolume, but I just did performance visuals for my friend's electronic label showcase. Playing them live with my Mashine MKII. I had a ton of fun and I'm trying to think about what else I can do with the software.
For the next show, we were talking about using webcams to do some live feedback on the screens.
I have Arena on a 2019 16" Macbook Pro, OSX 10.15.1.
I'm wanting to get started testing effects with my MBP's webcam (FaceTime HD Camera). When I drag the source to an open slot, no video comes ever comes on. The green webcam light comes on for a second, but turns off quickly, and no video output ever shows up.
I ran a terminal command that I guess was supposed to reset all app Systems Settings permissions request so that Resolume would ask to use the camera. It never asked to use the camera, before or after, and it wasn't "in there" but unchecked before I did the Terminal reset.
- Does anybody know what's going on?
- Why I can't use the built-in camera on the new MBP's under the Capture Devices source?
- Is there a way to make it recognize the input?
- Is this easier with a USB webcam than the built-in?
