Hi all,
We are specing a resolume server build to be able to playback 4 streams of 4k DXV 3 video. Does anybody have an idea on what mbit/sec we would require in hard drive bandwidth per stream? Quicktime player shows 890 mbit/sec on a 3996x2160 quicktime DXV 3 codec video, is that close to the number?
Thanks for the help!

Re: SAS Storage System
Divide file size with video length (seconds), that should be your average stream bandwidth.
Using hard drives, also the latency is very important. Accessing more than one file on a HDD will slow read speeds down a lot.
