Hello we are a film studio and we are producing a theme park attraction which will include multiple video screens (with various videos playing at specified times) a RBG lights, and some projection mapping.
We'd like (as close to) one-button start operation as possible.
Would Resolume be a good solution to start exploring for this type of show?
Thanks
Steve
Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
Yeah can work quite well i think.
you will need arena (dmx / advanced output) and a system powerfull enough...

Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
Thanks.
Is there is basic introduction video somewhere so we can get a overall understanding of how the flow would work?
For example:
playing two different synced videos on separate screens
Single button advance to the next set of videos
This would be an exciting choice. We have always had to build custom software.

Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
I would create a group for each thing that needs sync'd and then use column triggers. Then in advanced output I would create a new screen for each screen you need and route a specific layer to that slice as it's input source. If you have multiple screens needing the same video use a single output in Resolume and connect the hardware to a DA/Re-Clocker.
How many outputs and how many videos will be playing at each time?
I feel the biggest issue you might have is trying to route multiple audio sources. If you need audio for each of these video's then this won't work for you atm. If audio isn't an issue, Resolume should work great.

Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
That is very helpful.
So, we have 3 video outputs (two traditional screens and add'l projector mapping)
The videos to the TWO main video screens each have their own audio tracks.
Will that work?

Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
If it's 2 tracks you can pan one to the left and the other to the right (sending 2 mono channels) and that would get you what you need. if you need a 3rd audio track then you're out of luck unfortunately.

Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
That could work for now. To be clear, I can send the left mono to one screen and the right to the other?
Re: Resolume for a theme Park attraction?
To be Honest:
yes it all can be done with resolume. But when you need to have different screens at different locations with audio and other stuff going on i would also think about multiple players and a controll system
i.E.

https://pixera.one/de/hardware/pixera-mini
You also can set up multiple mini pc (intel nuc / zotac / etc)
The players would be close to the screens and the controll system can work via osc and a lan system.
When i understand this right its not nessesary to have the screens in perfekt sync (that make everything more easy)
